Ingredients
Method
- Make the sauce: In a small bowl, mix all burger sauce ingredients. Set aside.
- Heat the skillet: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Smash the burgers: Place a tortilla on the skillet. Add a small ball of ground beef directly on top and smash it flat with a spatula. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Cook: Cook for 2–3 minutes until the beef is crispy. Flip, add shredded cheese, and cook another 1–2 minutes until melted.
- Assemble: Remove from heat and top with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, pickles, and burger sauce.
- Serve: Fold and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
Use thin, flexible corn tortillas to prevent cracking
Don’t overcrowd the pan — cook 1–2 tacos at a time
Double the sauce for dipping or drizzling
Best enjoyed fresh
Store cooked beef separately for up to 3 days
Reheat in a skillet for best texture
