Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples, peeled and sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (or arrowroot powder)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ¾ cup gluten-free all-purpose flour (with xanthan gum)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and vanilla.
  • Spread apple mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  • In another bowl, combine gluten-free oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
